2. Refund Eligibility by Project Stage

Refund eligibility depends on the stage of project completion at the time of the request:

Before work begins: If no work has started after payment, you may request a full refund minus any non-refundable third-party fees already incurred with your approval.
After kickoff / early stage: If initial research, outlining, account setup, or creative exploration has begun, a partial refund may be issued after deducting the value of completed work and administrative costs.
After substantial completion or final delivery: Once major deliverables have been provided, refunds are limited. We will first attempt to resolve concerns through revisions. A partial refund may be considered only after documented quality issues are verified.
After final approval: Work that has been approved in writing, published, used commercially, or marked complete by the Client is not eligible for a refund.

3. Non-Refundable Items

The following costs are non-refundable once purchased or activated:

ISBN registrations
Printing and shipping costs
Paid advertising spend and media buys
Third-party platform fees
Domain purchases and hosting fees
Licensed stock assets, fonts, or software purchased for the project
Rush fees already applied to accelerate delivery

4. Physical Hard Copies (No Separate Return Policy)

SELF BOOK PUBLISHING LLC is primarily a service business. We do not operate a retail storefront with a separate product Return Policy. Eligibility for money back on packages and services is governed by this Refund Policy.

Author hard copies included with selected packages are produced to order after print approval. Once printing and shipping costs have been incurred, those costs are non-refundable (see Section 3). 5. Situations Not Eligible for Refund

Change of mind after work has started
Dissatisfaction based on personal taste after multiple agreed revisions have been completed within scope
Delays caused by late Client feedback, incomplete files, or third-party platform processing
Platform rejection, suspension, ranking changes, or policy decisions outside our control
Sales, royalties, reviews, or advertising performance outcomes
Requests that conflict with legal requirements, copyright law, or third-party platform policies

6. Requesting a Refund

7. Order Cancellations

If you wish to cancel a project before completion, email info@selfbookpublishing.co. Work completed up to the cancellation date will be billed accordingly. Drafts, concepts, and creative assets developed before cancellation remain the property of SELF BOOK PUBLISHING LLC unless otherwise agreed in writing or already paid for and delivered under the project agreement.

Before initiating a chargeback or third-party dispute, please contact us so we can attempt a fair resolution. Unresolved quality concerns may be reviewed by our internal evaluation team based on the original brief, delivered files, revision history, and package inclusions.
